NEW: REFORM Muli T8 and T9
with HCS high comfort suspension for high travel comfort

At upper class of performance REFORM represents with the new Muli generation T8 and T9 two new transport vehicle models for hilly scenery mechanization and municipal service. The focal points at the development were higher axle- and service loads at increased travel comfort.

The approved, powerful and nippy DaimlerChrysler VM diesel with 80 hp serves as drive unit for the Muli T8 and at the T9 a 91 hp engine is installed which fulfils even the truck-waste gas regulations Euro3. Both engines are known for large power reserves, traction and durability.

The synchronized group reversing gear provides with preselectable splitting 16 forward- and 8 reverse gears.

The fine gear graduation at all 3 groups allows speedy working in complete speed range of 0.36 – 40 km/h. Permanent four-wheel drive via lockable central differential, portal axles with high ground clearance, differential locks and disc brakes at front- and rear axles guarantee highest safety for demanding tasks on the road as well as in difficult terrain.

Travel comfort without compromises

HCS high comfort suspension stands for a completely new suspension draft for highest conveniences, which is designed for requirements-based travel comfort. Because of the innovation with joystick control at the front axle, resp. with piston sided counter pressure at the rear axle, high stability and safety of the vehicle is guaranteed in every driving situation. This is an electronically controlled, hydropneumatical suspension with level regulation. The wheel position adjusts always at the same level independent from load.

The operator will be surprised by the fantastic travel comfort on the road as well as off-road. Impacts which are caused by unevenness of terrain and potholes are trapped softly for safety of the driver/passenger, vehicle, implements and bodies as well as the load. And as a special advantage the operator can select in addition manually, by pressing a button at the new control console beside the steering wheel, if the vehicle is lifted, lowered or the suspension is locked. The new independent suspension is available optional at front axle or front- and rear axle. The Reform designers stressed the possibility of further usage of existing tools like load wagon, dung spreader, liquid manure barrel, tipper bridge etc. even of older Reform Mulis, which turned out well because of upkeeping of the existing coupling points.

Many improvements in detail

A matter of peculiar interest is the higher transport capacity because the overall weight was increased for 500 kg to 7,500 kg. The service load on chassis is around 4,800 kg at a vehicle weight of approx. 2,700 kg (depending on type and model). The considerable axle loads with 4,000 kg at front and 4,600 kg at rear stay abreast of higher service load. The operation of the hydraulic functions is done at the ergonomical control console at the right side beside the steering wheel by means of joystick resp. toggle switch.

A long working time is guaranteed by a diesel tank volume of 82 litres. The electronic box with CAN-Bus is placed readily accessible at the backwall of the cab. The hydrostatic steering is now equipped with synchronized cylinder.

Therefore the kinematics is not changed at contracting and extracting and as another advantage the increased ground clearance has to be mentioned.

REFORM emphasises its high provider competence at development and manufacturing of vehicles for difficult terrain by the new Muli T8 and T9. They are the result of decades of experience at constructing transport vehicles in combination with innovative, practice oriented development for the purpose of technical progress. The new transport vehicles were represented for the first time in June 2005 at the municipal fair Suisse Public 2005 in Bern and customers and interested persons were straightaway enthusiastic. The new Muli T8 and T9 are already available starting from September 2005.
