Mister Switzerland Renzo Blumenthal drives Mounty 100
Already at entering the wonderful Lugnez, or Lumnezia (www.lumnezia.ch) as the inhabiters of the ’Oberland’ call it in Rhaeto-Romanic, the visitor knows that Mister Switzerland 2005 is at home in Vella. The ‘Lugnezer’ congratulate Renzo Blumenthal on his victory by means of banners and boards. The ‘Lugnezer’ are proud of Renzo, who graduated successfully the examination for the master’s certificate as an agriculturist this year.
Together with his father Ursin he manages an organic milk-enterprise with 42 ha at mountain zone 3 in Vella, 1244 m above sea level. The presentable business with 50 livestock units GVE includes 87 head of cattle. Topographical difficult terrain has to be mastered primarily by their `Maiensäss’. Ursin and Renzo Blumenthal have trusted in their Reform machines since many years. They do not want to do without the Muli 575SL with multi-cut load wagon which they bought three years ago. "It is a top-vehicle with a load wagon which has premium quality at loading and unloading", explains Ursin Blumenthal to us. In spring, previous to the glamorous Mister Switzerland election, father and son decided to exchange their two-axle mower Metrac 4004H as well as a standard tractor for a new Mounty 100. Both report enthusiastically on their first experiences after 170 service hours.
"The new Mounty 100 is used very versatile. Because of the hydrostatic four-wheel steering the vehicle is very manoeuvrable. The four-wheel steering can be switched comfortably to front-wheel steering, rear-wheel steering or crab-steering mode by pressing a button. At mowing at steep positions the reflection of the crab-steering mode performs valuable services for quick turning and maintaining of the preselected turning angle. In addition to hay harvesting, mowing, turning and tedding the Mounty 100 is used with the pulled baling press, too. Equipped with front end loader and block cutter it will perform valuable services at silo unloading from the drive silo in winter."
Ursin and Renzo Blumenthal use the Mounty 100 very versatile.
Renzo Blumenthal worked much with the Mounty 100 despite plenty of "Mister Switzerland activities" and is enthusiastic about it.
